July 25 New movieI am practicing on windows movie maker before moving on to something more sophisticated, but with more options. My dad left me all our old vacation videos, which I plan to edit together on a proper dvd. THis is just a compilation of my latest duels using my World of Warcraft shaman: Basora.
Enjoy, I had fun playing the game and editing the movie. July 11 Guitar HeroGuitar Hero for the win!! With every gamenight we have held, Guitar Hero has come out on top. This game is a very newbie friendly party game. But on the other hand of the spectrum, to really nail the fast chords (read: get good at the game), you reall really need to practice. I, for example, have practiced quite a lot and I am still stuck on medium on the song: Bark at the moon by Ozzy Osbourne. It frightens me to to think what hard en expert mode must be like if this is already this hard.It has also given me a newfound respect for thiose guitarists ou there and I understand now what it feels like when you nail a solo. Awesome! You get alot of bang for your buck, because of it takes muscle memory. Practice a song a couple of times, let it lie for 2 days, then go back at it and you will notice a very steep improvement. Kind of like Salsa.
Some friends of ours have even gone out and purchased the game the next day. My dad is contemplating buying it too, but he doesn't have a Playstation 2 (yet
Guitar Hero simply and truelly rocks.
Also finished Shadow of the Colossus, one of the better games I have played in a long while, simply because it is so original. I play a lot of games and lateley I have found them to be all too similar. Shadow of the Colossus was a breath of fresh air. The ending was great too, like a good movie. I suspected it, but didn't expect this to be coming. Time to tackle the hard mode of the game. Thankful JulyHi world,
It has been a while, but it has been really hectic. But I am not complaining. Better to have lots to do then to have nothing to do at all. The salsa-teaching is working out pretty good. But this detracts from our training and growing. You can't have it all I guess.
Well let's get thankfull again shall we. This month I am thankfull of all the decisions I made in the past. There are very few choices I regret having made. Actually I can only think of 2 at this point. Not bad considering my 28 years of life. I am grateful that I go slow and think about my situations.
I am also grateful that I have been able to turn every bump in the road/setback/unforeseen (bad) consequenses into something good and better for me. A popular saying is: all problems/setbacks are opportunities in disguise. As I am hitting a rough spot in my life, I hope I have the wisdom to turn this one into a great opportunity as well.
But what I am most grateful for, is the lady by my side. I am very grateful to know she's got my back and that she would do anything for me, as I would for her. Not to belittle any other ladies in my life (moms, sister) or any other ladies in my past wether they done me right or wrong, (I understand you were there to teach me something) I am very happy with her choosing me as well. If there is one thing I have absolute faith in, it is her, and us. Our love, trust and loyalty towards each other means a lot to me.
And thank God for prayer (gotta think about that one eh?) I am so very thankful for growing up in a religious environment, which gives me a very good foundation to tackle life and still be grounded.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. (And the worst isn't that bad to boot)
E'cha P'alante (or however the hell you spell that)
ps: on the sidebar, a (unedited) movie of my latest encounter with the last boss in Uldaman. |
